NVIDIA is set to release two new GPUs, the RTX 500 and RTX 1000, as part of its Ada Generation Laptop GPU lineup, targeting compact and highly portable AI workstations. These GPUs, equipped with neural processing units (NPUs) and Tensor Cores, will be featured in mobile workstations from partners like Dell, HP, Lenovo, and MSI this spring. The RTX 5000 leads with 682 TOPS of AI performance, while the entry-level RTX 500 and RTX 1000 offer 154 TOPS and 193 TOPS, respectively. These GPUs enhance workflows, especially in video conferencing, AI-based content creation, and generative AI. Compared to CPU-only configurations, the RTX 500 provides significant performance boosts in generative AI, photo editing, and 3D rendering. The Ada Lovelace GPUs come with ray-tracing RT Cores, CUDA Cores, DLSS 3 rendering, and AV1 encoding.
